Foundation of APASO
Andhra Pradesh Chapter of Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (APASO) was established by visionary surgeons to promote specialized cancer care in the region.
First NATCON Hosted in Andhra Pradesh
Successfully hosted the prestigious National Conference (NATCON IASO) in Visakhapatnam — a landmark moment that put AP on the national oncology map.
Introduction of Robotic Onco-Surgery
APASO members performed the first robotic Whipple procedure and robotic esophagectomy in South India, pioneering minimally invasive oncology.
Crossed 1,000 Active Members
APASO became one of the largest and most vibrant state chapters in India with representation from every medical college and major cancer center.
